C3Nano is the performance leader in Transparent Conductor Films (TCFs) and silver nanowire (AgNW) solution-based functional inks for the touch sensor and display industry, sold under its Activegrid product line. Recently, the company unveiled its Ultra-Nanowire product line advancing new industry applications with nanowires which are plated with nano-scale coatings of a noble metal (e.g., platinum, gold, palladium) to address increased reliability requirements for other industries, such as automotive and cleantech applications. C3Nano is also partnering with major companies in life sciences markets in the development of cutting-edge sensor-based applications. The company has raised more than $55 million in equity funding to date in addition to a $25 million debt facility, which has enabled the company to quickly achieve best in class products and world-class production capabilities located in the Silicon Valley (Hayward, CA), where C3Nano is headquartered. The Company also has production facilities in China, along with operations based in Korea. C3Nano was founded in 2010 as a spin-out from Stanford University's chemical engineering department. Overview of Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Controller include ownership for global financial statement integrity, finance systems, people and process infrastructure relied upon to record, review and report on financial and business intelligence matters, global financial close process, audit and regulatory compliance, and continued development of processes and internal controls. Along with the CFO, this position will be a key liaison with the external auditors and audit committee of the Board of Directors and CEO. Must be able to think strategically and participate in global decision-making process.This senior leader will serve as a valued advisor to the senior executive team in assembling and interpreting the key financial information that drives the business and be a key driver in cross- functional projects, taking a pro- active role in determining process and accounting requirements to support the business. Primary Responsibilities: Ownership of financial statement integrity and financial close process; Management of external relationships with auditors, tax preparers and valuation advisors; Build systems and processes that will streamline financial reporting and enforce compliance; Oversee and direct all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including the year-end audit; Lead the preparation of consolidated global financial statements for internal reporting and external reporting; Evaluate, document and ensure compliance of accounting policies and procedures and system of internal controls of the Company. Compliance with tax reporting requirements in state, federal and international jurisdictions Assess and propose systems enhancements and drive process improvement; Define and recommend departmental objectives; Provide CFO and executive management with accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic and operating decisions; Create, update and release monthly financial 'Dashboards' to measure company's progress; Product costing, including analysis of manufacturing activity and variances while driving objectives and process to achieve company desired margin structure and scalability; Participate and provide recommendations for financing and funding initiatives; Drive operating plan and budget process; Evaluate existing and new accounting rules and guidelines and recommend appropriate actions and/or procedures; and Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: 4-year degree in accounting or finance required CPA and/or MBA preferred Experience; 15 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance within a manufacturing environment and proven experience in leadership roles with a minimum of 5 years as a Controller.
