Job Description General Superintendent – Heavy Civil (Earthwork & Paving) Location: Northern California Employment Type: Full-Time I’m partnering with one of Northern California’s most respected heavy civil general contractors to help them find a General Superintendent with extensive experience in earthwork and paving. This role is responsible for on-site leadership, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day field operations on heavy civil projects, including earthwork and paving Manage subcontractors, crews, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with all regulations Monitor project progress, quality, and productivity, and report to project management Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve field challenges Qualifications: Proven experience as a superintendent in heavy civil construction Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple crews and large-scale projects Knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, and field operations The company offers a highly competitive salary, excellent benefits, and clear opportunities for career progression within a respected, high-performing team.
