Job Description Job Description Electrical Project Engineer – Substation Design & Construction (69kV) Location: Tualatin, OR | Walnut Creek, CA | Denver, CO | Overland Park, KS Why You’ll Love Working Here: Competitive compensation and benefits package Opportunities to lead high-voltage substation projects up to 765kV Work with a collaborative team of engineers and technical experts Professional growth, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge utility projects What You’ll Do: Lead and support substation projects, including physical and protection & control design Develop drawings, schematics, layouts, relay panel wiring, grounding, and auxiliary power systems Perform QA/QC reviews, mentor junior engineers, and oversee project deliverables Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure technical excellence Prepare budgets, schedules, and specifications for procurement and construction Support business development and present proposals/designs to clients What You Bring: 5 years of HV (69 kV) substation design experience in the U.S. power utility industry Project lead or technical specialist experience Strong QA/QC and client coordination skills Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering This role offers a chance to lead complex, high-voltage projects while building your career in an innovative, utility-focused environment.
