Position SummaryVeev is looking for a Director of Global Sourcing to join our family. This newly created Director position will be responsible for strategic management and optimization of global materials sourcing and spend as well as managing a team of sourcing professionals. The Director of Global Sourcing will partner with stakeholders inside the business as well as with suppliers to select preferred suppliers for new products and technologies. In addition, the Director of Global Sourcing will develop cost models, negotiate contracts, and manage a team of Commodity Managers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a supplier segmentation and classification system
• Coordinate and oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of category strategies
• Responsible for driving the adoption of supplier and commodity strategies into Research and Development technology roadmaps and new product development.
• Direct and / or Negotiate contracts, negotiation strategies and Purchase Agreements for raw materials and commodities
• Drive the culture of continued productivity within our supply base and component spend to meet annual cost reduction targets
• Stay abreast of market trends and utilize relevant indices to optimize purchasing effectiveness
• Develop cost models, understand cost drivers and make technology recommendations to favorably affect our current and future portfolio of products
• Be the recognized expert for global commodity market information
• Development of Supplier scorecards and ranking to assure that Veev is utilizing the industry leaders in cost, service, quality and performance
• Drive achievement of Environmental and Sustainability goals with the supply base
  Requirements, Knowledge and Experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 10+ years total in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree required, (Master's Degree highly desired), in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities at once without sacrificing quality of results
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices and a track record of success with both direct and indirect materials
  • International Procurement Experience
