Job Description:

Overview -The Facilities Manager/Tech is responsible to ensure the facility and equipment are clean and well maintained. - Facilities:

• Facility cleaning and maintenance, including HVAC system and generator, and documentation thereof
• Monitoring and testing of safety equipment, such as selected air velocity measurements, shower/eye-wash units, emergency lights, and documentation thereof
• Cleaning of the cGMP manufacturing rooms according to the internal SOPs to meet the cleanliness level required for cGMP applications
• Assisting the Quality Unit with environmental monitoring
• Assisting in sourcing contractors and interacting with themEquipment:
  • Assisting in equipment selection, purchase, installation and qualification
  • Assessment of equipment maintenance and/or repair needs
  • Maintenance and repair of equipment and documentation thereofOther:
    • Understanding of and compliance with appropriate SOPs
    • Ensuring that maintenance supplies are available
    • Helping create a positive work environment
    • Other reasonable duties may be assigned as necessaryQualification Requirements: -
      • Ability to read and follow SOPs
      • Ability to manipulate janitorial and construction tools effectively
      • Ability to communicate with fellow employees on work-related issues
      • Ability to maintain and repair selected laboratory and building equipment
      • Ability to identify and interact with contractors for specialized or licensed repair/maintenance/facility upgrade work Physical Demands/Work Environment: - - - - - - - - -
        • Ability to move/lift 50 pounds
        • Ability to mop and vacuum floors
        • Ability to do light carpentry
        • Ability to work safely around hazardous materials
        • Ability to bend to reach floor level
