Company DescriptionEikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical
company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of
chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel
treatments for life-threatening diseases. Eikon's discovery
platform is built on groundbreaking innovations from its founders
(Nobel Prize, 2014), culminating in the creation of microscopes
which enable real time, molecular-resolution measurements of
protein movement in living cells, thereby unlocking otherwise
intractable classes of proteins as drug targets. Position As a
Scientist at Eikon you will be an essential part of an
interdisciplinary team of highly creative and talented individuals
with outstanding expertise in the Company's core platform
technologies and drug discovery processes. You'll play a key role
in contributing to Eikon's pipeline and executing key biology
studies for multiple drug discovery programs with a focus in
oncology. You'll be collaborating and working closely with a team
of biologists, chemists, and engineering experts. About you

- Culture various mammalian cell lines and generate engineered
cell lines to facilitate drug discovery effort
- Develop, optimize and execute various cell-based assays for
target validation, screening campaigns, and compounds MoA to
support drug discovery programs
- Keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols
and results
- Collaborate and communicate across a diverse interdisciplinary
research team
- Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and manage
diverse team interactionsQualifications
- PhD in biology related areas, MS degree plus 10 years of
relevant experience; or BS degree plus 12 years of relevant
experience
- Proficient in mammalian cell culture and cellular assays, e.g.,
transfection, DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, gene knockdown
or knockout, luciferase assay, cell viability assay, HiBit assay
etc.
- Experience with automation and other high-throughput tools and
instrumentation is a plus
- Experience in oncology is desirable
- Experience in discovering, validating, and/or characterizing
drug targets through genetic and/or pharmacological approaches is
desirable
- Capacity for quantitative and/or statistical analysis using
common software tools (, GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office Suite,
etc.)
- The ability to communicate clearly and build open collaborative

range for this role is $105,000 to $121,000 depending on skills,
competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
