of. Job Description: The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
Senior Specialist will report to the site Head of EHS and will have
general responsibility for both the implementation and maintenance
of EHS programs. -They w ill possess a solid understanding of
EHS-related matters and will work with site personnel to achieve
EHS objectives. Responsibilities:
- Program Implementation/Enforcement - Work with site employees
and contractors to understand and achieve the objectives of the
site EHS programs.
- Develop and maintain EHS key performance indicators and related
elements of EHS management system.
- Recordkeeping/Reporting - Collect and maintain data and records
for EHS compliance and reporting.
- Inspections and Audits - Conduct and coordinate EHS inspections
and audits including internal inspections, corporate, regulatory
and customer audits.
- Site Engagement - Develop and implement site EHS engagement
programs to continuously improve site safety culture and
performance.Drive site EHS communications and feedback mechanisms
through various media to employees and contractors working at the
site.
- EHS Project Management - Develop projects and lead teams to
achieve improvements in site EHS performance.
- Program Development - Develop and maintain site EHS programs to
meet regulatory compliance, prevent injuries and protect the
environment.
- Organize, identify and complete permits pertaining to EHS, such
as environmental permits, fire safety permits, and operating
permits.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or environmental
science related field and/or equivalent experience/training
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS role
- Knowledgeable about federal, state and local regulations as
well as EHS best management practices
- Apply health and safety codes, regulations, laws and policies
pertaining to the health and safety of the interior and exterior of
the facility
- Ability to lead and manage projects with attention to detail
and prioritization in a fast-paced and fluid environment along with
working cross-functionally internally to manage projects and on
appointed teams
- Background in the biopharmaceutical or medical device industry
preferred
- Proven experience representing EHS matters to regulatory
agencies, inspectors, partners, and project teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to deliver results through strong
planning, organizing and project or program implementation
skills

salary for this position is expected to range between $94,500 and
$110,250 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of
factors, including the successful candidate 's qualifications,
skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge.
