Job Details: • Work in Neuro Stepdown unit with patient ratios
between 1:3-5 • Step Down patients maintain 1:3 ratio while
Telemetry patients have 1:4 ratio • Every other weekend requirement
• On call as needed • 12 hours of orientation required • Must have
2 years minimum experience in Stepdown or Telemetry unit • Travel
experience preferred • Previous charge experience preferred •
Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all AHA
certified) • Epic charting system experience required • Must be
available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing • 50 mile travel
requirement applies • Care for adult and geriatric patients with
stroke and other neuro-related diagnoses • Work with various
equipment including chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal
cannula, PCA pumps • Manage patients with conditions such as CVA,
traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders •
Perform wound care, IV management, blood product administration,
and tracheostomy care • Utilize interdisciplinary support including
IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed neuro stepdown
unit specializing in stroke care and other neurological conditions.
The facility maintains a daily census of 29 patients and provides
comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV
teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid
