Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Petaluma, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,411 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 40 Hours per week Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant Certifications: Must meet continuing education requirements and maintain a license in good standing Description: The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Staff Therapist with patient-related activities and direct patient care. Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per policy. Assist in maintaining the department. Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Treat patients per the physician treatment plan. Assist the nursing department with training of restorative aides. Communicate with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. Participate in in-services training programs for other staff. Record treatment changes per policy and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge from therapy services. Report any problems with department equipment to ensure it is maintained in good working order. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues. The position is not a supervisory position.
