Assistant Urgent Care for a locum tenens job in Walnut Creek,
California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Urgent Care
- Discipline: Physician Assistant - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 12
hours, nights - Employment Type: Locum Tenens Emergency / Urgent
Care PA – Walnut Creek Medical Center, CA Facility: Walnut Creek
Medical Center Providers Needed: 1 PA Patient Population: All ages
Shift: - 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM Patient Volume: - Maximum 4 patients
per hour (typically lower) Practice Setting: - Emergency Medicine /
Urgent Care–style coverage - Moderate to low acuity Scope of
Practice / Procedures: - Laceration repair - Abscess incision &
drainage - Toenail removal - Subungual hematoma evacuation -
Foreign body removal - Hemorrhoid thrombosis management - Epistaxis
(nosebleed) control - Minor burn management - Local anesthesia and
nerve blocks - Simple reductions (e.g., nursemaid’s elbow, finger
dislocations) Requirements: - Active CA PA license - BLS, ACLS,
PALS (required) - Prior EM or UC experience preferred - Comfortable
seeing all ages Highlights: - Predictable volume - Broad procedural
exposure - Supportive clinical environment Predictable Volume
Active Start Attractive Pay and Bonus upto $1500 (3 shifts in a
