Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Stockton, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,723 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Stockton, California, 95204! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) PALS Must-Have: CERNER experience required Strong IV skills Description: All NICU travelers are required to float to Pediatrics and Postpartum. Travelers will take a patient assignment, including couplet care in Postpartum. If your traveler is not comfortable with this, please do not submit them. All training modules must be completed prior to arrival. Failure to complete all modules will result in a delayed start. CERNER experience is required. Unit is a Level 3 NICU with an average census of 22 out of 30 beds. Ratios include 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 for NICU; 1:4 for Pediatrics. Electronic medical records are managed using Cerner. Nurses are responsible for interpreting basic arrhythmias. Consultation with a neonatal nurse practitioner or physician is required for confirmation. High-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide are utilized in the unit. Neonatologists are available in-house during specified hours. IV pumps currently in use include Medifusion, transitioning to Alaris syringe pumps. Pharmacy and respiratory therapy services are available 24/7. Shifts are available from 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with no block scheduling allowed. Common diagnoses include infants from 22 weeks to term with a variety of critical conditions. The unit experiences high volumes of sepsis, respiratory issues, and drug withdrawal cases. No neonatal surgeries are performed in this unit. Cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment.
