qualifications will not be considered. Providing specialized care
for the tiniest patients, this 8-week travel opportunity calls for
a skilled RN with NICU experience to support a Level III NICU in a
well-respected teaching hospital. Working predominantly night
shifts with 12-hour hours, you will deliver expert nursing care to
newborns requiring intensive support, ensuring their progress and
comfort during a critical period of development. Location: This
position is based in Watsonville, CA, a charming city known for its
agricultural heritage and coastal proximity. Residents and visitors
enjoy a blend of small-town warmth and access to outdoor
activities, including beaches, parks, and scenic trails, making it
an appealing place to live and work. Responsibilities: Provide
high-quality nursing care to NICU patients, primarily Level II,
including growers and feeders born at 24-25 weeks gestation.
Monitor and manage a census averaging 10 patients in a Level III
NICU setting with 15 private rooms, 6 open bays, and an isolation
room. Maintain patient safety and comfort with an acuity-based
nurse-to-patient ratio, typically 1:3. Collaborate with Charge RN
and healthcare team, utilizing available support such as Medical
Unit Clerk during day hours. Perform clinical duties including
vital signs monitoring, administering medications, coordinating
labs, and responding to emergencies. Qualifications / Desired
Experience: Current RN license with proven Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) experience. Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with a
flexible schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week starting April 20.
Competence in caring for premature and critically ill neonates,
including familiarity with Level II and III NICU protocols. Strong
communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with
multidisciplinary teams. Job Type: Travel assignment offers
