Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Clearlake, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,716 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Clearlake, California, 95422! Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Primarily Nights, with occasional Day shift Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: 3 to 4 years in labor and delivery License: Current license as a Registered Nurse Certifications: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, ACLS & STABLE preferred, Current BLS certification, Current NRP and hospital conscious sedation certification Must-Have: Experience in labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum care Description: Client is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients. In addition to the general staff RN job description, the staff RN will be responsible for the care of women during their childbearing years through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life. Supervising and coordinating care with other disciplines is a key responsibility. Basic computer skills are required. A minimum of one year of labor and delivery experience is preferred. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required. Certification in AWHONN Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within six months of employment and recertified every two years. Current BLS certification is required prior to patient care and recertified every two years. Current NRP certification for registered nurses in the unit must be obtained within six months of employment and recertified every two years. The job may involve exposure to blood and body fluids, requiring the performance of procedures that involve potential contact. Protective measures should be used while engaged in tasks with exposure potential. This job requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and standing, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the patient care team, including patients, family, and physicians. Compassionate care that acknowledges physiological, psychological, and developmental needs is essential. Demonstrating correct and safe techniques in the use of office and patient care equipment is required. The ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner is necessary. Each patient must have an individual plan of care tailored to their age, growth, and developmental status. Nursing actions should be prioritized logically. Documentation of patient assessments, plans, interventions, and responses in the clinical record must be performed appropriately. Evaluating outcomes for patient care is critical. Consultation with other providers as required and adjustment of nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care is expected. Maintaining a clean, neat, and safe environment in the unit and patient care area is essential. Information must be managed effectively. Providing concise and accurate reports at the end of shifts or when transferring patients is important. Performing thorough assessments for each assigned patient using age-specific assessment techniques is required. Nursing duties must adhere to guidelines provided in the skills inventory checklist and policies and procedures. Patient and family education should be documented adequately. Effective leadership by directing and/or delegating tasks to other members of the healthcare team under supervision is expected.
