Job Description Job Description Employment Defense Attorney - $170K-$200K Employment Defense Attorney Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Employment Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in employment-related legal matters, focusing on defending against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and other employment disputes. This role requires strong litigation skills and a comprehensive understanding of employment law. Key Responsibilities - Represent clients in employment law cases, including wrongful termination and discrimination claims. - Draft and file legal pleadings and motions related to employment disputes. - Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents for discovery and trial preparation. - Engage in motion practice and argue motions in court as necessary. - Advise clients on employment law issues, including wage and hour regulations. - Defend clients in class action lawsuits related to employment practices. - Negotiate settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution processes. Qualifications - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Active license to practice law in the relevant state. - 3 years of experience in employment law or litigation. - Strong knowledge of employment law, including wage and hour regulations, wrongful termination, and discrimination. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
