Role Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machining equipment, including making program edits on CNC machines. They will ensure components meet precise print dimensions and tolerances while using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and scales. The role requires maintaining a safe and organized work environment, contributing to safety and efficiency improvements, and accurately completing associated paperwork. The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience, strong math skills, the ability to interpret mechanical drawings, and a solid understanding of G-code or conversational programming. Preferred experience includes working with cast materials, rigging, and machining stainless alloys. Responsibilities: - Setup and operation of CNC machining equipment - Ability to make program edits at the machine for CNC equipment - Machining of components to meet print dimensions and tolerances - Accurate parts measurement using tools such as, but not limited to - Outside micrometer - Inside micrometer - Depth micrometer - Digital, dial and vernier calipers - Scales - Maintaining an organized and safe work environment and help to drive improvements in the work center that will lead to increases in safety and efficiency - Accurately completing all paperwork associated with tasks being performed - Keeping up to date with all required trainings - Working on a variety of parts and processes and may work across multiple machines - Can resolve most problems and questions within a defined set of parameters - May provide guidance to other employees Requirements: - Typically 3 – 5 years’ experience doing similar work - Understands and buys into a zero-accident safety culture expectation - Strong shop math skills including arithmetic, conversion of fractions to decimals, basic trigonometry - Ability to read and interpret mechanical/production drawings including tolerancing - For CNC machines, a strong understanding of G-code and / or conversational programming - Precision Measuring tools experience - Knowledge of fixturing and safe / effective workholding Preferred Experience / Skills: - Experience working with cast materials - Experience with basic rigging and use of overhead cranes - Firm understanding of turning and milling insert geometries and grades - Understanding of basic cut conditions including appropriate feeds, speeds and depths of cut - Previous experience machining stainless alloys Benefits Starting from Day 1: - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) - Life Insurance Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance - Short and Long Term Disability - Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources - Educational Assistance Program - Time off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) - Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
