Company DescriptionEikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical
company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of
chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel
treatments for life-threatening diseases. Eikon's discovery

(Nobel Prize, 2014), culminating in the creation of microscopes
which enable real time, molecular-resolution measurements of
protein movement in living cells, thereby unlocking otherwise
intractable classes of proteins as drug targets.PositionAs an
Automation Engineer at Eikon, you will join an interdisciplinary
team of creative and talented individuals with outstanding
expertise in the company's core technologies. You'll be responsible
for collaborating with engineers and scientists to build platforms
that automate and scale our experimental systems including Eikon's
live-cell, single-molecule assay. You'll have a key role in
designing, building, and maintaining these robotic platforms to
ensure high quality and throughput of our data generation.About

shy to ask for adviceWhat You'll Do
- Design, build, and implement automation and robotics systems at
Eikon
- Work with engineers and biologists to "industrialize" our
live-cell, single-molecule assay and deploy it across multiple drug
discovery efforts
- Team up with biologists to scale and automate other assays to
accelerate our efforts in drug discovery
- Collaborate and communicate across a diverse research team
- Keep detailed and organized records of protocols and
activities
- Contribute to multiple projects with diverse
teamsQualifications
- B.S. degree in biology, engineering, or related field. An
advanced degree is a plus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in laboratory automation in an
industrial setting
- Experience in with designing, building, and maintaining
robotics systems, especially systems using 384- and 1536-well
plates. Experience with light microscopy is a plus
- Experience with lab automation software such as VWorks is
preferred
- Experience with computer programming. Javascript is a plus
- Keen problem-solving skills and a passion to deliver
quality
- The ability to communicate clearly and build open,
