and Utilities Engineer role supports Lonza operations by ensuring
that equipment and facilities are designed and operating to meet
the requirements for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Projects vary
in size and scope with an emphasis on operation and optimization of
Utilities and HVAC systems or modifications to existing equipment
and facilities. Projects can target any one of the following
business needs:Key Responsibilities:Develop technical knowledge on
Utilities and HVAC equipment and processes.Manage resolution of
major equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.Provide
SME support to Utilities and other departments for the design and
operation of Utilities and HVAC equipmentConduct troubleshooting
and technical analysis on Utilities and HVAC equipment and
processes including PI data analyses, system capacity analyses, MOC
analyses, flow path analyses, etc.Assist with tech transfer of new
processes into the facility.Modify/develop preventative maintenance
plans and create spare parts.Complete change request lot
assessments to support lot release.Participates in production
coordination meetings and customer ad-hoc meetings as engineer
SME.Represents group at Engineering interface meetings.Participates
in audits and inspections as engineering SMEProficient in GMP, ASME
BPE, and PV related codes and standardsScopes and prioritizes
capital project (lump sum and CAR) involving complex equipment
changes and process improvements including the following
activitiesWrite and communicate detailed scope of work documents to
project stakeholdersLead URS creation and design reviewsGenerate
project cost estimatesCreate business case for capital funding for
projects through lump sum, ESR, and CAR requestsCoordinate
procurement of equipment and services required including bid
analysis activities for significant purchasesSupport FAT activities
for project teamManage and coordinate engineering contractors to
meet project and operational objectivesKey requirements:Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.Embraces a culture of
sharing knowledge and training others.Strong ability to lead
cross-functional teamsSolid understanding of inter-department
maintenance operations.Proficient at driving methods of change in
achieving productivity improvement goalsMature business acumen
demonstrated by understanding the role maintenance plays in Lonza's
asset management business modelSolid knowledge of CMMS systems,
preferably SAP Plant Maintenance module. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite applications, exposure to cGMP guiding work practices

salary for this remote position is expected to range between
$116,000.00 and $135,000.00 annually. Compensation for the role
will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the
successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies,
experience, and job-related knowledge. Full-time employees receive
